Today's topic is about seeing our chakras as openings into the self.

When you follow me, you know I say we are so much more than we think we are.  We are more than just a body, a mind, a personality, a soul, and a spirit.  We're also energetic beings.  We have depth and dimensions to us. We have a physical body, and outside the body is an aura. Within that aura are seven layers. These layers are our energetic bodies; each has a major chakra connected to it.

What are chakras? Chakras are openings into a deeper dimension of who we are. 

Why do we want to be able to explore our chakras? Because we want to bring our attention back to the self.  We want to take the attention off all the stuff going on in the mind and our life situations and, for a minute, bring it back into the body.  By exploring who we are, we will see that we have depth to ourselves. This can give us a deeper level of self-love.

Focusing on each chakra during our chakra meditations allows us to explore various dimensions of our being, facilitating a deeper connection with our consciousness and potential. We want to do this because of what our chakras do for us.

What do our chakras do? They assimilate information and allow Life force energy to help sustain us. When we focus on our chakras through meditation, we explore a dimension of our being where we can access important information that the chakra holds.

The value of this kind of exploration and chakra healing is that it releases vibrations and patterns we don't like or that are hurting us somehow. We can restore the chakras and energetic bodies to bring health, ease, and comfort to our energetic and physical bodies. Through a meditation practice, you will see that each chakra has different characteristics.

Chakras explained: Each chakra has different identities, affirmations, and issues lodged in it because it represents different aspects of our being. We are multidimensional beings experiencing life on multiple dimensions.

We want to understand these dimensions and do chakra meditations in them, with a primary goal of healing, wisdom, understanding, self-love, and self-acceptance. When I facilitate a guided meditation, I intend to get you back into the body. We meditate to get out of our minds, out of life situations, and back into the body.

Meditating allows us to focus on these dimensions of our identity because this is our life, body, and energy field. We want to have this intimacy with the self because when we can have intimacy with the self, we can have healthy intimacy with others.  We need intimacy with the self to understand ourselves, work with ourselves, and allow ourselves to love the self and experience life from a bigger perspective of who we are.

We meditate on our chakras to access who we are, access the information in the chakras, work with that information, and bring about the results we want for our lives. We can tap into dimensions within our energetic field, opening up restricted parts of our energy system. Sometimes, we have restrictions in an energetic body, and when we explore it and look at it, we can move those restrictions. The value in doing that is the relief that comes not only in the energetic body but also in the physical body. It can bring in deep relaxation.

In chakra meditations, we release holding patterns, memories, traumas, and imprints lodged in our aura.  When we can gently move those out, create a clear space, and bring health and vitality into that space, it can relieve pressure on the physical body. We can move out different aches and pains from our bodies if they come from something within our aura.  We can produce improved health, ease, and comfort within our physical form.  

When the chakras are open, bright, healthy, vibrating, circulating, and pulsating at the right rhythm and pace, we bring life-force energy into the physical body. This brings health, ease, and comfort into the body, allowing us to come to life from a healthy, balanced chakra system.

As you meditate with me, know that I intend to help you access these dimensions of yourself because doing so will give you far more conscious, creative control over the quality of your life and overall well-being.  It’s to get you back into the moment, help you become present, less reactive, more responsive, feel good and empowered.
