Today we are going to talk about our first chakra, our base chakra.

The base chakra is associated with our fear and basic survival instincts. In environments where we feel threatened or when something is wrong, these feelings typically manifest in the base chakra. Essentially, the base chakra is where we experience our survival instinct.

When faced with threats to our physical well-being, the fight-or-flight response is triggered, signaling that we feel unsafe or perceive a lack of safety.  

Maybe we haven't felt safe in the past. By working with the base chakra, we can heal past experiences when we were not secure, so we can feel safe now. We want to do healing work on the base chakra to clear any patterns, memories, or traumas held within it.

We can unblock our chakras when we focus our attention on them through meditation. Meditating on the base chakra can improve our physical well-being. It helps us feel more comfortable in our bodies and creates a positive, safe, and grounded experience in life.

The element associated with the Base chakra is Earth, which is logical. Connecting with the earth helps us feel rooted and provides stability and safety on the planet. 

There are times when we can feel disconnected from our own bodies. Different life experiences can cause us to be unaware of what is happening in our physical bodies. This lack of awareness may stem from not having had the time to focus on the body, being taught not to do so, or fearing that recognizing what we are experiencing in the body could negatively impact our lives. Additionally, past traumas may have caused us to lose touch with our bodies. There are many reasons why this disconnect can occur.

One more reason is that we often make "agreements" in our lives, which can be quite influential. However, they can also hinder us from being fully present in our bodies and understanding what's going on inside us. We should strive to dissolve many of our agreements, whether they are unconscious or conscious. Our agreements can stem from collective resonance, family patterns, religion, society, and other sources, as we tend to make them in order to fit in and be accepted.

But if an agreement is draining you, taking you away from your family, or leading you away from a path that you truly want to be on, then you may want to consider ending those agreements. It's empowering to realize that we have the power to decide which energies we hold onto, which energies we let go of, and which energies we engage with.

When we meditate on the Base chakra, we aim to address certain issues, work through specific topics, or manage energy in a healthy way. By meditating with focus and intention on the energies we hold, we have significant control over our chakras. We can choose to retain certain energies, let go of others, open up our chakras, and invite support, ease, and comfort into our physical bodies through a well-balanced base chakra.

The base chakra is the first chakra of the seven chakras, and it brings life force energy up into the spine. The base chakra and the cone's tip end in the heart. The crown chakra, which is the seventh chakra, is the tip of that cone that ends in the heart. The heart is where the energy from the life force that comes up from the base chakra is translated.

It is translated: energy moves up to higher chakras, and the spiritual energy from the crown moves down to meet the base chakra at the heart chakra. The energy is then translated and moves down towards the lower chakras, resulting in a healthy, balanced blending of life force energy and higher spiritual energies.

We strive for balance and grounding in life by working with the Base chakra, addressing survival issues, finance, safety, security, and belonging.

Even if you don't feel like you fit in with a specific group, family, or community, you still belong in your own body and life. The feeling of belonging is something we all seek, and we can cultivate it within ourselves. Home can be anywhere we are."

You can feel at home anywhere because home is within you. We want to bring that sense of balance, safety, and security to your body.

You belong here.

You belong in a body.

You belong in life.

Working with the base chakra can help us achieve this. Through meditation and reframing our perspectives, we can discover what we seek. Working with the base chakra is beneficial as it instills a sense of safety and belonging within us.

We want to feel reassured that our needs will be taken care of and that our chakras are balanced and healthy to support us in all aspects of life. Balanced chakras can positively impact our perception of our physical existence and our sense of safety and security. As a result, we can make adjustments and navigate life in a more fulfilling manner.

When we release blocks from our Base chakra, we experience life in a new way because life flows through us differently. When life flows differently through us, our experience of it changes.
